Everything in The Closet is real. Every garment has been carefully photographed, described, and is available for its next chapter.

D is real too. At least, I very much hope so—he's my husband. Every garment in The Closet has come from his own wardrobe. Each piece, worn sparingly and thoughtfully, is now ready for its next chapter.

Wardrobe Adventures are written entirely by people and are never generated or edited by AI. The accompanying illustrations are created using AI, with each character dressed in clothing based on the real garments featured in The Closet.

Elsewhere, AI is used as a creative partner to explore ideas and refine language, but every decision at House of D is guided by human judgement.

Delivery - Via EBay

At House of D, we concern ourselves primarily with matters of cloth, character, and the virtues of a well-cut silhouette.

However, garments must, at some point, make their way from one wardrobe to another.

For the time being, all purchases are fulfilled through eBay.

It is, we find, a thoroughly reliable way to ensure your chosen piece arrives safely, with the appropriate protections in place for both parties. Payments are secure, postage is trackable, and the entire affair proceeds with reassuring order.

In short, while the arrangement may lack a certain romance, it performs its duty admirably — which, in matters of delivery, is quite the point.

Delivery Locations

Every garment from The Closet is carefully prepared for its next chapter and shipped thoughtfully from British Columbia, Canada.

Canada, as you may have noticed, is not a small country. In fact, it is inconveniently vast. For a fledgling operation with a very modest team, ensuring garments travel smoothly within its borders is undertaking enough.

For now, then, we are keeping things sensibly contained. Wider travels will follow in due course — once we are confident every journey, near or far, is handled with the care it deserves.

Delivery Charges

Delivery is free within Canada for items $500 and over. To protect your investment, items $500 and over will be shipped with full insurance and signature required on delivery. Please ensure someone is available at your shipping address to sign for the package.

For items under $500 delivery is charged based on your location.

Canada Post Xpresspost is offered for an additional fee.

Returns

Every item in our closet is a genuine, high-end luxury piece meticulously cared for in a smoke-free home.

To maintain the pristine condition of our inventory and prevent wear, we do not accept returns for buyer's remorse or fit issues.

Approximate flat-lay measurements are provided with each listing. Please cross-reference them with your favourite clothing before purchasing. If an item arrives and is significantly not as described, we will gladly work with you to make it right under eBay's standard policies.

The garments at House of D are not the only things embarking upon a second adventure.

Where practical, we reuse boxes that still have useful miles left in them. Your garments will be carefully wrapped in fresh tissue paper and prepared for their journey with due attention and respect.

We see little sense in discarding a perfectly good box simply because it has already travelled once.
