On Delivery & Other Practicalities
At House of D, we concern ourselves primarily with matters of cloth, character, and the virtues of a well-cut silhouette.
However, garments must, at some point, make their way from one wardrobe to another — and so, a brief word on the practicalities.
Delivery (Via EBay)
For the time being, all purchases are fulfilled through eBay.
It is, we find, a thoroughly reliable way to ensure your chosen piece arrives safely, with the appropriate protections in place for both parties. Payments are secure, postage is trackable, and the entire affair proceeds with reassuring order.
Canada, as you may have noticed, is not a small country. In fact, it is inconveniently vast. For a fledgling operation with a very modest team, ensuring garments travel smoothly within its borders is undertaking enough.
For now, then, we are keeping things sensibly contained. Wider travels will follow in due course — once we are confident every journey, near or far, is handled with the care it deserves.
In short, while the arrangement may lack a certain romance, it performs its duty admirably — which, in matters of delivery, is quite the point.
On Subscribing (via Substack)
Our stories — the wardrobe adventures, occasional musings and dispatches — reside on Substack.
It allows us to write properly. To tell stories at a considered pace. To introduce characters as they ought to be introduced.
Subscribers receive each instalment of our wardrobe adventures directly to their inbox, and are first to hear when new garments make their debut.
If you enjoy the world of House of D, it is, we think, the most civilised way to remain acquainted.
Best to subscribe now, before it slips your mind — these things so often do.
